Visitor Parking Permit

If you are resident and live on a street or road that has a Pay-and-Display and Permit Parking Scheme, you may be eligible to buy Visitor Parking Permits from Dublin City Council.

You do not need to have a Residential Parking Permit to buy Visitor Parking Permits.

In order to be eligible to apply for a Visitor Parking Permits the address on the application form must be your normal address. This means that you reside overnight for more than 183 days per year at this address.

The maximum amount of Visitor Parking Permits that an individual can purchase in one calendar year is 80. The calendar year runs from January to December.

The visitors parking permits are 24 hour scratch permits and they cost €1.25 per permit. Please ensure that these permits are scratched properly and displayed on the front windscreen of your vehicle.

You can apply for Visitor Parking Permits by completing the application form (see below) and submitting it to the Parking Permits Section (see details below) along with the appropriate supporting documents.

Residential Parking Permit holders can purchase Visitor Parking Permits over the phone at 01 222 2259. Visitor Parking Permits cost €1.25 each, and are sold in multiples of four. The minimum telephone order accepted is €20. Payments can be made by debit or credit card.

Note: Your Visitor Parking Permits will be posted to you at your address.
